Montpellier Football Club

Circa 2021 | League Debut 22/23

Montpellier Football Club was formed in 2021 by two lifelong friends on a mission to change the way grassroots football operates from the ground up.

As the landscape of football at a base level has changed over time, it has become increasingly more difficult for many clubs to sustain. The result is a hyperfocus on survival that causes clubs to be more focussed on finances than social impact.

When we founded Montpellier FC, it was with a view to create a real community club both on the field and off it. Creating excellence in football, developing players and people, supporting our local area and charities and laying the building blocks for a club to flourish and grow with the community around it.

We have been incredibly fortunate to have had the support of brilliant coaches and local institutes as we drive our growth and have seen our club grow from one team to multiple league and cup wins across senior and youth teams, and the leasing of our home and clubhouse on Priors Farm. Trophies in the double digits in just 5 seasons show our growth and success on the field while local partnerships including our annual charity tournament with Brotherhood in Arms and our hosting of a vital life saving De-fib courtesy of Radis show the growth off of it.

With the introduction of our first youth team in 2023/24, our youth section has gone from strength to strength covering age groups from 8 years old through to u17. Our first young girls team joined us in 2025/26 and our first group of youth players transitioned into senior football the same year.

It's been a wild journey so far, but we are only just getting started. Family values are at the heart of everything we do.

We are Montpellier FC.
